1. What is the Data Loading Module

Our main mission is to allow you to focus on analyzing your data, not spending precious time on data preparation, ETL scripts and so on. At the same time, depending on your use case, we understand that you might need to load some existing data to your SlicingDice database.

Because of that, we built our Data Loading & Syncing module, that contains all necessary ETL capabilities, allowing you to easily load and incrementally update data from more than 100 different sources, without having to write a single line of code.

Overview of the Data Loading & Syncing module

Watch this quick video below to learn more about our Data Loading module.

Getting Started

To insert external data into SlicingDice, you'll need to do two things:

Add a new data source

The data source will contain information such as the location of the data source and its credentials in order to be loaded by a Loading Job.

Add a new loading job

The loading job will use the information of the Data Source to map and load your data into SlicingDice.

Supported data sources

On top of the proprietary connection methods, SlicingDice makes use of all the CData's JDBC and ODBC drivers in order to connect to the data sources. Because of that, we are able to connect to a huge variety of sources, shown below.
