Query demo tool

At SlicingDice we work hard to make our documentation and API simpler and easier to understand and use. This is why we created this interactive query demo tool below.

You can use this tool to better understand how to query your data on SlicingDice, or to validate if an existing JSON query command is valid/correct.

In order to use this tool you only need to use the filter on the columns from the spreadsheet below and a query command will be dynamically generated for you, based on the spreadsheet's column filters you added.

Data insertion demo tool

Check also our data insertion demo tool to dynamically create examples of insertion requests based on demo data.

Usage instructions:

  1. Click on the filter icon of the column you want to filter;
  2. Select the filter condition you want to use. For example, if you want to filter a string column, the is equal to and contains options will appear as possible filters. When filtering an integer column, other types of filters will be available, such as greater than, is between and others.
  3. Once you apply a filter to a column, check the SlicingDice JSON query. You will notice that your filter on the column was automatically translated to a query.
  4. You can filter as many columns as you want.

Let's start with a simple query: Users with account-active equals to true and age greater than or equal to 23.

In order to achieve that, click on the filter icon of the column account-active and select the is equal filter and put the value true. Then click on the filter of the column age and select the greater than or equal to filter and put the value 23.
